The concept for the exhibition at the Kunstturm of the Kunstverein Rotenburg was developed on site, taking into account the existing architecture and surroundings. In particular, the focus is on how the four floors (English: “stories”) of the Kunstturm can tell a story in a vertical direction. It is an architectural structure that references its former function—its use as a fire tower for hanging and drying hoses—and the building’s subsequent redesign and segmentation into an atypical exhibition space.
